DeadEye Trainer FAQ — Aim with Precision
🎯 ABOUT THE PRODUCT
What is the DeadEye Trainer?
It’s an interactive aiming target that helps you master cue ball accuracy. Using LEDs and optional sound effects, it gives instant feedback about whether your shot was dead-on or missed slightly left or right.
Who is it for?
From beginners working on fundamentals to advanced players dialing in cut shots and throw effects, the DeadEye Trainer is designed for any pool player serious about improving their aim.
🛠️ SETUP & USAGE
How do I set it up?
-
Place it on the table at your desired distance (e.g., two diamonds from the cue ball).
-
Turn it on using the power switch on the left side.
-
Adjust the thumbscrews to set your tolerance (the space between side posts).
-
Each tick = 1/16".
-
Zero setting = 2¼", the exact width of a pool ball.
-
-
Shoot at the center post. Aim to hit it without touching the side posts.
-
Watch the LEDs (and listen if sound is on) to see how you did!
How does feedback work?
-
Green center LED: Dead-on hit.
-
Right side red LED: You hit the right side post.
-
Left side red LED: You hit the left side post.
-
Optional sound: Audio confirms left, right, or center result. Toggle sound using the rear switch. Also, from time to time it provides genreic tips for better play.
How do I challenge myself more?
Tighten the side posts to reduce tolerance. Try working your way down to just 1/16” of space on either side for extreme precision!

Where are the sound and volume controls?
-
Sound On/Off: Switch in the back of the right side.
-
Volume: Small knob on the right side.
💡 TRAINING BENEFITS

-
Straight-line cue ball aiming
-
Cue delivery and stroke control
-
Alignment and stance consistency

Object ball cut accuracy
-
Understanding throw and spin effects
Can I use it to practice cut shots?
Yes. Place an object ball in front of the trainer and use it as a precise “ghost pocket.” Adjust the tolerance based on shot difficulty.
Can it help me learn about throw and spin?
Absolutely. You’ll be able to see how subtle changes in cue ball speed or spin affect where the cue ball ends up — helping you visualize spin-induced and cut-induced throw.
